License & AI Usage¶
The License & AI Usage page shows how your Surfmeter software licenses are being used over time. You can find it in the sidebar under Admin > License & AI Usage.
Client usage¶
Licenses are counted per UTC calendar month. A client that was active in a month counts once for that month (one client-month). The current month is provisional until it has ended.
By default, the page shows the current quarter. You can adjust the time range to view different periods.
Summary cards show the totals for the selected range, such as the total client-months, the number of months, and the average per month.
A table breaks down usage by month, showing:
- The number of active clients (unique clients that submitted measurements).
- The license units consumed (in Extended Usage mode).
- The distribution of measurement subjects across those clients (in Extended Usage mode). Hover over it for a detailed breakdown.
The Extended Usage switch is on by default.
Usage by registration key¶
In Extended Usage mode, the Usage by Registration Key table breaks down license units and client-months by the registration key each client used to register. Clients without a key, or whose key was deleted, are listed under "No registration key".
Note
Keys marked as testing are not billed, so they are not listed in this table.
Downloading usage as CSV¶
Click Download CSV to download the usage for the selected range as a CSV file. The file always covers full months. It has one row per client, month, and subject, with these columns:
usage_monthclient_uuidclient_tags– The client's current tags, separated by;.client_registered_atandclient_first_active_atsubjectfirst_activity_atandlast_activity_atlicense_units
All times are in UTC.
Tip
Depending on your contract, the day on which a client registered may not count towards license usage. AVEQ sets this up for your organization. It then applies to the page and the CSV export.
AI usage¶
If the AI assistant is enabled for your organization, the AI Assistant Usage card shows the current month's AI usage:
- The percentage of the monthly limit consumed, shown as a progress bar.
- The number of AI requests and conversations.
When the limit is reached, the AI assistant becomes temporarily unavailable.
